NFL Odds – Cowboys at Vikings NFL Sports Betting

January 15th, 2010 No comments

After clinching the NFC North and finishing the regular NFL odds season with the second best record in the conference you would think the Minnesota Vikings would be in for a bit of a reward. But you can hardly call playing against a white-hot Dallas team a reward. Over the past month of NFL sports betting Dallas has been the most dominant team in the NFC and likely the entire league.

It’s not an enviable task but the Vikings should be well rested and despite a sloppy patch in December are still one of the best teams in football. For the Vikings to win they simply need to keep doing what they’ve done all year: loosen up the defense with a steady dose of Adrian Peterson and the running game and then finish them off with Brett Favre and the passing game. NFL Odds – Cardinals at Saints Preview

January 13th, 2010 No comments

It seems like months since Drew Brees and the New Orleans offense have taken the field. Or at least months since they’ve taken the field with any success. And it has been. The last time Brees and Co. won an NFL odds matchup was four weeks ago on December 13th when they won a nail-biter over a 6-6 Falcons team.

The team than went on to drop three straight games to the Dallas Cowboys, a sickly 2-12 Bucs squad and season finale mess to the Carolina Panthers in the Super Dome –a sports betting matchup which Brees sat out. The team’s poor play in December hardly inspires confidence among the online betting community, nor should it. Read more…

NFL Odds – NFC Wild Card Playoff Scenario

No matter what team you support in the NFL you can’t help but be intrigued by the sports betting matchups this weekend in the NFC wildcard round. One a classic battle to the death between hated division rivals and the other promising to be a high scoring track meet in the desert, what sports fan could ask more?

But get down the nuts and bolts, what every betting lines fan wants to know is which teams will survive? In the Philly-Dallas NFL odds matchup there doesn’t seem to be a lot of hope for the Eagles. You certainly can’t write this team off as it’s capable of putting points on the board in a hurry. And in fact, if Donovan McNabb gets going early and complete a couple big passes this game should go down to the final whistle. Read more…

NFL Betting – Ravens at Patriots NFL Odds

January 10th, 2010 No comments

The Ravens have not been a convincing team this season. They have been barely above .500 in the NFL betting lines all season and had to play for their lives down the stretch simply to finish 9-7 and sneak into the playoffs. And even now they’re underdogs in the first week of the playoff NFL odds. But that doesn’t mean that this team isn’t capable of running the tables on the post season sports betting opposition. In fact, quite the opposite.

The Ravens struggled a bit over the end of the season losing a tough game in Pittsburgh and closing the season with an awfully close win over the middling Oakland Raiders. Not exactly a massive tide of momentum but this team is ready. The return of all-world safety Ed Reed makes this defense a different unit. It had looked shaky during the games he was absent but with him the team can blitz more freely as he can ball hawk in the secondary and help in coverage. Read more…
