The St Louis Rams might be an unenviable team but they are certainly in an enviable position as the team holds the first pick overall in the upcoming NFL draft. With a number of excellent prospects in the NFL gambling draft this year they should come away with sure fire star.

But with so many problems which player does the team take? Investing tens of millions of dollars in an unproven rookie is the daunting task that faces every team that picks first in the NFL gambling draft. The consensus among the NFL gambling experts is that the Rams will go with a DT with their first pick in the NFL draft.

This year is loaded with excellent DTs and the Rams are supposedly torn between Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska and Oklahoma’s Gerald McCoy. Both seem to be sure things but while most people have Suh the higher rated player, McCoy fits better in the 4-3 system of Coach Spagnolia. But with no real talent at any position on the field and an offense in desperate need of a makeover the QB spot can’t be ignored.

As it’s the most important position on the field the Rams will definitely look at the prospects as well. Sam Bradford appears to be the top player at this position but is a big question mark due to injuries and the spread offensive system he’s coming from. He may not be ready to play for a few years and after going 1-15 in his first year at the helm Spagnolia will be looking for immediate impact players and it seems likely he’ll go with one of the two DTs with the first pick in the NFL draft.
