With all the Peyton Manning talk in the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl odds competition it would almost seem as if there was only one QB playing in the game. Those stats are noticeably superior to Manning’s in the betting NFL playoffs. That’s on top of what Brees did in the regular season (4,388 yds, 34 TDs, 11 INTs, 109.6 passer rating, nearly 71% completion percentage). In fact, Brees was superior to Manning in the betting NFL stats in almost every area aside from passing yards, where Manning barely edged him out (4,500 yds). Brees completion percentage set an NFL record and his passer rating was tops in the NFL. In the media Manning is the best QB in the Super Bowl odds, but according to the stats, Brees is the superior.
