Rookies to watch for in upcoming NFL Betting Season

June 28th, 2010 by

This is almost the best time of the year to be an NFL betting fan. Short of any on-field action and no football betting odds to scour this is an exciting time of year because at this particular juncture time, anything is still possible in regards to the NFL betting action.

Teams have yet to take the field for training camp, trades are still being discussed, players are yet to be cut, rosters are still be formed and the class of rookies taken in the 2010 NFL betting draft all still have the potential to turn-around a franchise.

Once the 2010 NFL betting season begins all that that hope and potential will be exchanged the for hard and brutal reality of the football wagering action and only a handful of teams will enjoy success in the NFL odds competition and only a very few select rookies will have any meaningful impact on the football betting action.

But right now, in the middle of June, anything is still possible and there is an interesting group of NFL betting rookies to keep your eyes for the upcoming football odds season

Sam Bradford, the #1 pick overall will receive a lot of attention in St Louis, but he’s likely to have a disastrous season and will probably be seriously injured playing behind a porous O-line. But one rookie QB who could defy all odds and do some interesting things in the NFL betting action is Denver’s Tim Tebow. He may not be ready to play just yet, but he’ll have a shot to win the starting job from Day 1 and you never know what might happen.

RB Ryan Mathews, the Chargers rookie RB is probably next seasons Rookie of the Year in the NFL odds action. He’s got a good O-line, a good passing game and the perfect situation to come in and rack up a 1,000+ in his first football betting season.

Another interesting rookie to keep your eye on is Seattle WR Golden Tate. Tate went late in the second round but he may just be the most NFL ready receiver in the group and he’ll get plenty of chances to win a starting job with Pete Carroll. He’s a hugely underrated player who could also make an immediate impact on the NFL betting next year.
