NFL Gambling – Who’s the #1 pick going to be? NFL Draft
Every time the NFL draft comes around there is always one overriding question that generally isn’t answered until draft day, or just before. And the question that everyone wants to know is which player will taken first?
Right now if you asked just about any NFL gambling fan they would tell you the same thing: Ndamukong Suh. This defensive terror from the University of Nebraska flew a bit under the NFL gambling radar but after watching what he did to opponents in the Big 12 championship, at the Senior Bowl and quick glance at his numbers and it’s easy to see that he’s a special talent and all but guaranteed the number spot in the NFL draft.
Suh finished the 2009 season with 12.5 sacks, 23 tackles for a loss and 28 QB hurries. Those are tremendous numbers for an interior lineman, and as any NFL gambling scout will tell you an interior lineman that can get sacks is a once a decade NFL draft prospect. Almost unanimously, NFL scouts and personnel men think Suh is the surest thing in the draft and most ready to have an immediate impact.
The only thing that would keep Suh from being the first pick in this draft would be if the Rams desperately wanted to draft a QB. In which case a player like Sam Bradford or maybe even Jimmy Clausen would be taken first. But nothing in sports is so risky as taking a QB high in the NFL draft. Suh is a once a generation player and a sure thing. The Rams will almost certainly take him with the first pick on draft day.
