NFL Betting Lines – What does Tim Tebow’s NFL Draft future hold?

In the history of college football there may not have been a better player than University of Florida QB Tim Tebow. The Hiesman Award winner and two time national champion has arguably the most gilded resume of any player ever to enter the NFL draft.

But he also faces a very uncertain future as many NFL betting lines experts don’t think his skill set will transfer over to the next level. In his sophomore season Tebow put together the greatest offensive season in the history of the sport. He accounted for a mind-boggling 55 TDs (32 passing, 23 rushing) and finished the season with a passer rating of 172.5, numbers that had NFL betting lines scouts drooling.

He also picked up the Heisman Award yet still many questions remained about his desirability in the NFL draft. The knock on him as a QB is that he’s played in a spread system and his mechanics. Most NFL betting lines scouts believe his elongated delivery will either lead to sacks, batted balls or tip off corners and that’s why they’re hesitant to take Tebow with a high pick in the NFL draft.

That being said Tebow is winner. And to paraphrase the great Bill Walsh, once a winner, always a winner. Tebow is a powerful runner but not exactly speedy but he’s still an intriguing project at H-back or tight end. But no matter what position he’s projected to play he’ll likely be off the board by the second round. His past success is simply to substantial to overlook in the NFL draft and if he answers questions about accuracy and mechanics at the Combine, there’s no way he slips to the third round.
