NFL Betting Lines – Golden Tate could be draft sleeper NFL Draft
Notre Dame hasn’t had a lot of success in the world of football over the past three seasons. Head Coach Charlie Wiess’ miracle turn-around job has yet to materialize and this team consistently produces one disappointment after another.
However, WR Golden Tate has been the exception to this mediocrity and even though he hasn’t been receiving as much NFL Draft hype of some other players at his position, he could very well be the best WR NFL betting lines prospect in this class.
Tate isn’t the number one rated WR in this year’s NFL draft and there are likely to be several players at that position taken before him when the 2010 NFL betting lines draft finally goes down. But that could be a major mistake.
A quick glance at Tate’s numbers and it’s hard to ignore his production on the field: 93 catches, 15 TDs, 1496 yards all in just 12 games for an average of 124.7 ypg. There aren’t many WRs in the NFL draft this year with those types of numbers. And after watching tape of Tate viewers are even more impresses with his pass catching skills and route running.
But what most NFL betting lines experts don’t like is his size and speed. He’s not 6’5” and he doesn’t run a 4.3. But there are plenty of superior receivers that don’t fit that classic size and speed mold and Tate is one of them. With his route running skills and physical skills he could be the rare rookie WR that makes a major impact his first year in the NFL. He’ll be a major addition for whatever team lands him.
