NFL Playoffs – Battle to Super Bowl Sports Betting

Colts, Chargers, Ravens, Jets. One of these teams does not belong in this grouping. This may sound like an SAT question, but the answer is obvious: the New York Jets limped into the playoffs under dubious circumstances and are the team that nobody expected –or wanted- to see in the NFL playoffs. But here they are and what a job they’ve done. In the wild card round of the playoffs they annihilated the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincy.

And last week they did the unthinkable by knocking off the white-hot Chargers, winners of 11 straight games, also on the road. Whether you love them or you hate them the Jets have begrudgingly earned out respect. And they’ve done it with stingy defense and a ground game that –much like the name implies- grinds you down and then steamrolls you in the 4th quarter.

The final score of 17-14 was a close as a playoff game has been all year and typical of a Jets final product. The team is so overwhelmingly one-dimensional on offense that they could like up another blocking back under center and it would have little effect on the game or the sports betting. Rookie QB Mark Sanchez rarely throws the ball, but as a result he also has 0 INTs in the post season.

This team shut down the Chargers receivers in pass coverage and pressured Phil Rivers all day. On offense it ran the ball, ran the ball and ran some more until finally busting lose in the 4th quarter. Yet another perfectly executed Rex Ryan game plan.
