Can the Colts do it again in the NFL Betting Action?

indianapolis coltsThere have few constants over the past decade in the NFL betting action but nothing has been surer than the Indianapolis Colts making the playoffs and most likely winning the AFC South. No team in football betting has more wins over the past decade than the Colts and the major reason why the man behind center is: Peyton Manning.

QB is the most important position in all of sports betting and it’s been proven time and time again that no team in the NFL betting can win a Super Bowl without a good one. The Baltimore Ravens remain the only team in the free agent era of NFL betting that were able to win a Super Bowl betting matchup without a good QB (no offense to Trent Dilfer).

And so it should come as little surprise that the Colts have dominated the NFL betting over the past ten years since Manning has put up mind boggling stats year after year (50, 128 yards, 366 TDs, 95.2 passer rating) and will retire with every major passing record in football betting history –aside from the INT record which Brett Favre has a chokehold on.

Manning has been the one constant and the key ingredient for success for this NFL franchise and he’s the reason why this team racks up AFC South betting title year after year. But for the regular season wins, Manning has a very mediocre NFL playoff record as a starter and for the all the regular season success the team has just 1 Super Bowl betting victory during his tenure.

And losing the Super Bowl last football betting season doesn’t portend well for his club as Super Bowl losers typically fall to pieces the following NFL betting season for whatever reason.

However, that’s not likely to happen to the Indy Colts this football betting season. Manning is still Manning and he’ll likely be as good as ever coming off a 4,500 yard 33 TD season. His young receivers (Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon) will be even better with another year of NFL betting experience under their belt.

Defense has always been a tricky are for this club but drafting of pass rushing extraordinaire Jerry Hughes from TCU should finally give the Colts a healthy set of pass rushers for the entire season and the only other time that happened in the past decade they won the Super Bowl.
