Sportsbook Odds: Buccaneers vs Cardinals Week 8 Predictions

October 29th, 2010 No comments

buccaneers vs cardinalsThe Cardinals have gone from 2-time defending NFC West champion to NFL betting odds zero in a hurry. And it’s no real mystery why. In the past offseason the team lost its QB and offensive anchor when Hall of Fame Kurt Warner called it quits. But the team brass compounded that loss by trading away elite WR Anquan Boldin and letting Pro Bowl middle linebacker and defensive leader Karlos Dansby leave in free agency.

Losing three of its four top players would put any team in the cellar but the situation has been even direr for the Cards as they’ve been unable to find someone even resembling a serviceable QB to replace Warner. Read more…

NFL Week 7 Predictions: Raiders vs Broncos Free Picks

broncos vs raidersThe Oakland Raiders are as bad as ever with little or no chance of playing in the NFL playoffs or appearing on the right side of sports betting line any time soon. This team has no reliable option or talent at the QB position, the owner is a lunatic and the coaching staff is questionable. But that doesn’t mean that this team isn’t a tough opponent or that it can’t pull off the occasional upset.

dolphins vs steelersNow that Big Ben has returned from his 4-game suspension we’ve seen what kind of potential the Steelers’ passing game has and it’s not a rosy picture for Pittsburgh (4-1) opponents’ on the NFL gambling calendar.

In his absence, the Steelers started 4th string QB Charlie Batch and cobbled together a 3-1 record almost in spite of Batch. The team ranked last in the NFL passing offense and struggled to put 20 points on the scoreboard. But it mattered little as the defense is playing like a bunch of lunatics and has only given up 12.0 ppg this season.

And now that Big Ben is back the whole complexion of the offense has changed and this team is now a much more dangerous opponent. Read more…

NFL Betting Lines: Ravens vs Patriots Week 6 Football Odds

October 17th, 2010 No comments

ravens vs patriotsThese two teams seem to be constantly playing one another on the sports betting calendar and generally when the games are in Foxboro the results are far from certain. Last year these two teams met early in the season in New England and the Pats handed the Ravens their hats in a 27-21 defeat. But Baltimore had its revenge served cold, very cold; on a freezing day in January in a 33-12 beat down in the playoffs.

The rubber match will once again be held in Foxboro and the Ravens look to still have the upper hand in this matchup. Read more…
